‘Scrubs’ Teaser: Zach Braff, Donald Faison & The Gang Are Back In First Footage Of Reboot
The revival returns 15 years after the original ended, reuniting key cast members and introducing new interns at Sacred Heart, ABC announced.
- On Feb. 25, 2026, ABC will debut the Scrubs revival at 8 p.m. ET/PT, featuring a teaser with Zach Braff returning to Sacred Heart as J.D.
- The official logline describes J.D. and Turk reuniting as medicine and interns evolve, and ABC gave the reboot a straight-to-series order with Bill Lawrence executive producing alongside Scrubs alums.
- Zach Braff returns alongside original co-stars Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, reprising J.D., Dr. Christopher Turk and Dr. Elliot Reid, while new cast members include Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow.
- Promo clips posted on Instagram offer the first full cast reunion of characters at Sacred Heart since production began earlier this month, and the series will air on ABC before streaming on Hulu.
- The series' late-season network and cast changes set the stage for a hybrid revival approach, with Scrubs originally premiering in 2001 on NBC and running seven seasons before cancellation.
