Scott Pilgrim EX is a new beat-em-up adventure from Tribute Games
- Tribute Games announced Scott Pilgrim EX, a new 2D beat-em-up set in Toronto, during the Summer Game Fest event, with a planned release in 2026.
- The game follows Scott Pilgrim and friends battling robots, demons, and vegans after Tribute Games, formed by original developers, secured IP rights and collaborated with creator Bryan Lee O'Malley.
- Scott Pilgrim EX features seven playable characters with full move sets unlocked from the start, nonlinear exploration via a large River City Ransom-inspired map, and four-player co-op online or local.
- Producer Remi Lavoie mentioned that players will be able to explore the world at their own speed, while the original game designer described the project as the result of extensive experience developing brawler games.
- The game aims to evolve the franchise by combining detailed pixel art, classic combat, and a new story involving rescuing kidnapped bandmates and fighting villainous factions in Toronto.
