Scotland heatwave hopes boosted by Met Office change in weather prediction

SCOTLAND, JUL 25 – The Met Office forecasts a strong chance of warm spells in late August, with 2025 summer twice as likely to be warmer than usual, offering relief after a mostly wet season.

Scotland has only enjoyed one heatwave this year, compared to hotter temperatures in England, with Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands among the regions hitting 25c, but forecasters have hesitantly predicted another spell of 'very warm or hot' weather.
