Scientists found one of the ‘rarest plants in the world’ in rural SC and are working to conserve it

Amorpha georgiana, or the Georgia false indigo, is a flowering plant with just over a dozen known populations worldwide. There’s an effort to conserve the plant clump which was first found in 2021 in Florence County.
