The President of Peru, Keiko Fujimori, announced on Monday, October 12, a set of new rules of conduct for public schools in the country. The measures include the expulsion of students involved in serious cases of violence, the fight against bullying and sexual harassment, as well as the prohibition of makeup, painted nails, dyed or excessively long hair and electronic devices in the classroom without the teacher's permission.
The new regulations also prohibit cell phones in class and restore expulsions for serious misconduct and conduct notes.
