- During traffic enforcement operations near County Road 17 and Prince of Wales Road in Mulmur, Dufferin OPP officers observed the bus travelling at excessive speed around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
- The driver was charged with stunt driving, speeding by more than 50 km/h over the posted limit, and failing to surrender her licence. Officers noted that 'children were on board the bus at the time of the offence,' the OPP stated in a release.
- Police expressed heightened concern because the same intersection was the site of a fatal two-vehicle collision just over five weeks ago, where a six-year-old boy was killed and a two-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries.
