- Environment Canada warned of freezing rain with up to seven millimetres of ice, and several southern Ontario school boards cancelled buses or closed schools ahead of Wednesday's storm.
- Officers responded at approximately 8:55 a.m. to a single-vehicle collision on Old Stage Road, with firefighters and paramedics attending and the road closed between Middletown Line and Old 14 Line for several hours.
- Police said no other injuries were reported, the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information should contact Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122, while Good Samaritans offered aid at the scene.
- It was not immediately clear which school the children attend, and Ed Sanchuk urged drivers in the area to avoid it and reduce speed due to slippery roads.
