Retired citizens are trying to make a living by working in physically demanding jobs despite their advanced age. Halil İbrahim Çıplak, a retired man from Kadirli who stated he works in construction in Osmaniye, said, "I work in formwork in construction. Most likely, we will work until we die." Another retiree said, "I am 75 years old. At this age, I am working as an apprentice for masters, making mortar, supplying pipes."
