SCEMD reports 2 more earthquakes rattle Ladson area
Six small earthquakes have shaken Charleston County since Feb. 3, with the latest 2.5-magnitude quake felt near Centerville, US Geological Survey reported.
- SCEMD reported a shallow 2.5-magnitude tremor Wednesday night about 3.75 miles southeast of Centerville, Charleston County, at a depth of half a mile.
- Scientists call the pattern a 'swarm', describing the 2.5 event as part of a recent series since Feb. 3 including a 2.9-magnitude quake Saturday night.
- More than 800 people reported feeling Saturday's earthquake to the USGS, and no major damage has been reported by SCEMD in the Ladson area.
