On the 13th, the day after the Maebashi mayoral election, Akira Ogawa (43), who was re-elected, received his certificate of election from the city election commission at city hall. In light of the circumstances surrounding his resignation from his position due to the love hotel scandal involving a (retired) city employee, he said, "I received a lot of harsh criticism.
