A fire erupted at a car dealership in Savannah on Friday, shutting down nearby roads.

Savannah Fire working to extinguish structure fire

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The Savannah Fire Department (SFD) is working to put out a fire that began early Friday morning. At approximately 4:22 a.m., Savannah Fire units were dispatched to the 5300 block of Montgomery Street for a commercial structure fire near Hawgs Powersports. Heavy smoke was visible upon arrival. Crews are going into fast attack mode. WSAV will update as more details become available.
