A fleet of at least 25 tankers is en route to the Saudi port of Yanbu. This Red Sea port is serving as an alternative route now that the Strait of Hormuz and thus the Persian Gulf are closed. Saudi Aramco, the Saudi state oil company, is transporting oil via a pipeline to Yanbu and plans to increase the volume in the short term.
