Sargassum surges on Key Biscayne beaches. Visitors just cope.

It took a break for a while, but just in time for the World Cup, the sargassum is back.  Stinky mounds of seaweed — sometimes as high as three feet tall — are filling up Key Biscayne’s Atlantic Ocean beaches.  It was so thick Sunday morning that a tractor — hired by the Village of Key Biscayne to clear the stuff —  got stuck in the slimy mass.
