Sarfaraz Named Pakistan's Test Coach for Bangladesh Series
- On Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board named former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed as Test head coach for the upcoming two-Test series in Bangladesh, replacing the departing Australian coach.
- Joining Sarfaraz in the revamped coaching staff are former Test batter Asad Shafiq as batting coach and former international Umar Gul as bowling coach, with Sarfaraz having recently mentored the Pakistan Shaheens.
- Selectors named a 16-member squad featuring four uncapped players: Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, with Test captain Shan Masood continuing to lead.
- Training begins in Karachi from April 27 to May 1 for squad members not involved in the Pakistan Super League, with the team scheduled to depart for Bangladesh on May 2.
- Dhaka will host the first Test from May 8–12, followed by the second match in Sylhet from May 16–20, as Pakistan aims to improve its standing in the WTC.
