Influencer 'Hullo' Charged with Child Pornography Possession in Sarasota County
Investigators said his phone contained images and videos of girls as young as 6, and he admitted using Telegram to buy child sexual abuse material.
On Wednesday, 18-year-old Mason Hull, a TikTok influencer known as Hullo with more than 300,000 followers, was arrested by Sarasota County Sheriff's Office detectives and charged with 15 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material.
The investigation began April 30 when Hull's girlfriend discovered messages on his Telegram app indicating he paid for child pornography while checking his phone without his knowledge; she contacted authorities after finding photos and evidence of money received for image sales.
A subsequent forensic examination revealed images and videos depicting female children aged 8 to 15 years old, including girls estimated 6-10 years old being forced to have sex with adults; materials contained links to CSAM websites and payment discussions, and Hull told detectives he recently decided to "try something new."
Members of the Tactical Unit apprehended Hull in the parking lot of his residence, and his TikTok account became private shortly after the arrest was announced.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office stated the arrest reflects commitment to protecting children through coordinated efforts of Patrol, ICAC, and TAC units; authorities noted the investigation remains active and are asking anyone with information to contact the SCSO Investigations Bureau at 861-4900.
An influencer involved in the so-called looksmaxxing phenomenon has been arrested after large quantities of child pornography were found on his phone, reports The New York Post.
