Sandra Hüller, Maria Schrader Team Up for ‘Arbeit Und Struktur’
The film adapts Herrndorf’s posthumous diary, which became a literary phenomenon in Germany and will be produced by Komplizen Film and Studiocanal.

- Published posthumously by Rowohlt Berlin Verlag in 2013, the memoir originated from an online journal Herrndorf started after receiving a terminal brain tumor diagnosis in 2010. The work became a defining piece of contemporary German literature.
- Schrader is writing the screenplay with Jan Schomburg, describing the material as "a solitary and intimate record of what it means to be alive." Hüller called the role "a great honour and a profound challenge" for her.
- Komplizen Film, Studiocanal, ZDF, and France's Haut are producing the film, backed by the German Federal Film Board FFA and the Film- and Media Foundation NRW. Studiocanal will handle worldwide sales and release in Germany, France and Italy in 2028.
- This role marks another gender-swapped performance for Hüller, following her acclaimed turn in 'Rose'. Known for 'Anatomy of a Fall' and 'The Zone of Interest', she is heading into what could be a robust awards season.
