Russia's state coffers were filled with export revenues exceeding $300 billion last year

Cologne/Moscow - Despite Western sanctions over the war in Ukraine, Russia increased its exports by almost 20 percent last year, according to a study by the German weekly Der Spiegel, citing an analysis by the Cologne Institute for Economic Research (IW). The paper says that Russian President Vladimir Putin's war chest was filled with export revenues worth approximately 330 billion US dollars (7.1 trillion CZK) last year.
