Erdogan and Sanchez Meeting - "Spain's Stance on Gaza Is Honorable," Says Turkey

The two countries will continue efforts to promote their cooperation in areas such as the defense industry and transportation.

Istanbul (Republic of Turkey), Friday, 23 May 2025. The bilateral meeting reaffirmed the role of Turkey as a strategic partner for Spain, especially in trade and investment. The President recalled that Turkey is a fundamental mediator in international conflicts and, in particular, for peace in the Middle East and Ukraine.

A year ago – it was May 28, 2024 – that Spain recognized the State of Palestine.
