On Friday August 1, 2025, the San Francisco Giants called up OF Grant McCray from AAA Sacramento.  McCray is a former third round pick by the Giants in the 2019 MLB Draft and just last season was a Giants Top 10 prospect. The Giants announced they’ve selected right-hander Kai-Wei Teng onto the MLB roster. Reliever José Buttó, acquired from the Mets in the Tyler Rogers deal, has reported to the team and will be active tonight. San Francisco also recalled outfielder Grant McCray.
