Kathleen Nelson rolled her way to gold at 2026 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games. The Salmon Arm resident was one of 234 athletes representing British Columbia at this years Games, held Aug. 11-15 in Medicine Hat, Alta. It was a full 10 days for members of Team Nova Scotia, including two athletes from Pictou County who competed at the 2026 Special Olympics National Summer Games that wrapped up last weekend in Medicine Hat, Alta.

Team NWT wins big at Special Olympics Canada Summer Games - Yellowknifer

Team NWT brought home some new hardware from the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Medicine Hat, Alta. The games took place from Aug. 11-13 and covered 10 sports with 1,700 participants, 1,500 volunteers and 3,500 spectators from around Canada.
