IBERIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) --- A 1/4 cent sales tax is being proposed on the March 29th ballots to help the New Iberia Fire Department raise the annual salary for employees. Fire Chief Gordon Copell says a yes vote will help them attract more dedicated firefighters. "We just cannot compete in today's market where you can go to work for a lot of newer retail stores.
