Wage transparency is about to become one of the main labour obligations for Spanish SMEs. The European Directive on Retributive Transparency must be incorporated into the Spanish legal order by June 7th and will bring about significant changes in the way companies manage their salaries, selection processes and internal promotions. Although Spain already has regulations on equal pay, the new European regulation will take a step further.
