A celebration of the heritage and culture of local Indigenous peoples is coming up in just a few weeks. The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation’s 37th annual pow-wow is scheduled for August 15th and 16th this year. Sagamok Anishnawabek First Nation Pow Wow well attended

Sagamok Anishnawabek First Nation held its annual pow wow on the sacred spiritual grounds deep within the heart of the community. This year’s pow wow was in honour of the two historical Ojibwe (Anishinaabe ) Chiefs Namassin and Naoquagabo who represented their bands during the historic signing of the Robinson Huron Treaty in 1850.
