There is sadness in Laois today following the passing of Nino Ciamberlano – the owner of Nino’s Fish & Chips on Main Street in Portlaoise. From Colle San Magno in Italy, Nino Ciamberlano originally came to Ireland in 1969. He originally worked for the Macari family in Dublin before he, and his wife Stella, opened their own shop in Oldcastle, Meath in 1976.
