Sadie Sink to Star in 'The Marriage Plot' for FX, Hulu
Will Arbery is adapting the 2011 novel, with Hiro Murai set to direct and A24 and FX Productions backing the series.
Actress Sadie Sink will star in and executive produce The Marriage Plot, a limited series for FX and Hulu adapting Jeffrey Eugenides' 2011 novel about three recent college graduates navigating an all-consuming love triangle.
FX president Gina Balian greenlit the project, calling it "ambitious, character-driven storytelling" that deepens partnerships with writer Will Arbery and director Hiro Murai, both serving as executive producers alongside A24 and FX Productions.
The production is backed by Borderless Pictures, Aggregate Films, and Chum Films, with producers Michael Costigan, Jason Bateman, Steven Prinz, Rachel Jacobs, Carver Karaszewski, Claudia Shin, and Yiyi Huang managing the adaptation.
This marks Arbery's second series order at FX this year, following the December pickup of his original drama Seven Sisters, which stars Elizabeth Olsen and strengthens his ongoing relationship with the network.
Sink, known for playing Max Mayfield in Netflix's Stranger Things, maintains a busy slate beyond this project. She will next appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and executive produce an adaptation of John Proctor Is The Villain.
