The Geminids meteor shower is approaching and will reach its peak activity on the morning of December 14th, according to the Mira Public Observatory.
It comes from the asteroid (3200) Faetón, which, as detailed by the public organism, despite its classification as 'Possibly Dangerous Object' due to the proximity of its orbit to the Earth, the calculations of its trajectory are accurate and there is no risk of collision with the Earth in the coming centuries.
