S&P signals Czech rating upgrade in 15 years as resilient economy weathers headwinds
The rating agency S&P today upgraded the outlook for the long-term rating of the Czech Republic from stable to positive. It also affirmed the long-term foreign currency rating of the Czech Republic at AA- and domestic currency at AA. S&P expects the Czech economy to grow by an average of 2.3 percent between 2026 and 2029.
The S&P agency cited the Czech economy's resilience to external shocks, the solid state of public finances and external financial balance, and the effective monetary policy of the Czech National Bank as reasons for the improved outlook.
