NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, JUL 25 – The Yankees traded two pitching prospects to the Rockies for Ryan McMahon to address their third base gap before the July 31 MLB trade deadline, sources said.
- New York Yankees acquired Ryan McMahon from Colorado Rockies for Griffin Herring and Josh Grosz, according to reports, days before the July 31 MLB trade deadline.
- Despite leading the AL in scoring, the Yankees still lacked production at third base, as Oswald Peraza and Jorbit Vivas struggled, reported Sarah Langs.
- McMahon is currently slashing.217/.314/.403 with 16 home runs and 35 RBIs, and is owed about $36.2 million from the remainder of a $70 million, six-year contract through 2027.
