The Russian General Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit for the confiscation of the property of the President of the International chess Federation (FIDE), Timur Turlov, and related entities. "The complaint is filed with the State's revenue of money and other assets, as well as movable and immovable property, for a total amount of hundreds of millions of dollars", the Interfax informed the law enforcement authorities.

Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has sued Kazakhstani businessman Timur Turlov and Freedom Finance, the holding company he founded, RBC reported. A deputy prosecutor general filed the lawsuit in Moscow’s Tverskoy District Court.
The Russian Attorney General's Office is seeking the seizure of the property of Kazakh businessman Timur Turlov, who last week headed the International chess Federation (FIDE), which was reported by Commersant.
In the Tver District Court of Moscow, a complaint was filed by the Deputy Attorney General against Timur Turlov and Freedom Holding companies, where they stated that they were studying the case and did not see the risks because there were no assets in Russia.
