In January of this year, the commander of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), Lieutenant General Krylo Budanov, mentioned that 120 M1989 Koksan self-propelled guns were to arrive in Russia. Currently, this number may be higher due to further tranches of military equipment being sent from North Korea, which allows for the replenishment of losses and gaps in Russian equipment, such as the 2S7/2S7M Pion/Małka self-propelled guns.
