The Kremlin has once again made its position clear: foreign troops in Ukraine are unacceptable to Moscow, despite Western plans for European soldiers.
The Kremlin stated, Wednesday, that Russia's position on the conduct of any European troops in Ukraine under a possible U.S. peace agreement is well-known, but that the subject can be discussed, according to Reuters.
Dmitry Peskov made his statement in response to a relevant New York Times article, however, leaving a window open for negotiations.
This is a topic for discussion, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov admitted, commenting on the latest reports from the New York Times. The newspaper reported that under the peace agreement, Ukraine would receive security guarantees, guaranteed by European troops stationed in the west of the country.
