Russia is demanding that Japan withdraw the US-made Typhoon missile system, capable of launching SM-6 and Tomahawk missiles, from its territory, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, referring to a note from early September in which Moscow expressed its protest against joint military exercises between Japan, the US and Australia.
