Dornbirn gets red mayor, Lustenau and Feldkirch...

In Lustenau Patrick Wiedl is clearly defending himself against the Free Martin Fitz. In Lochau the Green Frank Matt defends his position.

Among other things, Dornbirn and Feldkirch are chosen. High voltage also prevails in Hard and Lochau. First results should be available around 2.30 p.m.

For the first time, Austria's tenth largest and Vorarlberg's largest city has a mayor of the SPÖ. Markus Fäßler clearly prevailed in the run-off against Julian Fässler. An interesting decision, which unfortunately is dealt with purely party-politically in terms of infrastructure policy.

A total of 112,058 eligible voters are called to the mayoral runoff elections in seven Vorarlberg municipalities on Sunday. Voting will take place in Vorarlberg's two largest cities, Dornbirn and Feldkirch, Austria's largest market town, Lustenau, the two large municipalities of Hard and Götzis, as well as in Lochau and Nenzing.
