Three People Arrested in Hernani for Illegal Human Trafficking

The drivers of three vans were arrested yesterday morning by the Ertzaintza in Hernani (Gipuzkoa), at a service station on the AP-8 motorway. They are accused of illegal trafficking in people: 24 people were travelling in the vans and they did not have any documentation. The drivers of the vans did not have a driving licence, and proceedings have been initiated against them for a crime against road safety. One of the drivers has also been accused of falsifying documents, having presented the Ertzaintza with falsified documentation belonging to another person. The arrested are between 21 and 39 years old. They were brought before the judge this morning.
