RSPCA warns of animal abandonment surge in the South

- Demand pressures mean an abandonment incident was reported to the RSPCA every nine minutes this year, with Worcestershire up to 225 incidents and Dorset’s reports rising 18.4% by October.
- To cope, the RSPCA launched The Big Give Back to Animals appeal to raise funds for RSPCA frontline officers and provided details on the RSPCA website as rescuers brace for winter.
