Royals use 3 solo homers to power past Tigers 5-2 for a sixth straight win
Kansas City extended its winning streak to six games behind three solo homers and Noah Cameron’s five shutout innings, officials said.
On Friday night, the Kansas City Royals secured their sixth consecutive victory, defeating the Detroit Tigers 5-2 behind solo home runs from Kyle Isbel, Vinnie Pasquantino, and Carter Jensen.
Bolstered by multi-hit performances from Isbel, Pasquantino, and Bobby Witt Jr., the Royals continue a 15-4 home stretch while the Tigers have lost three straight games and six of their last seven.
Kansas City starter Noah Cameron allowed two hits and walked three over five shutout innings, while the Royals capitalized on a fielding error by Kevin McGonigle to open scoring in the fourth.
