RCAF Chinook to fly over Beachburg Fair Thursday
On June 11 2026, the Basic Tactical Aviation Course worked alongside with infantrymen of Third Battalion, the Royal Canadian Regiment (Mike Company) to conduct an exercise at an abandoned sawmill in the Pontiac region of Quebec (simulating an enemy position). Royal Canadian Air Force helicopter to conduct flypast at the Beachburg Fair
A CH-147F Chinook helicopter from 1 Wing will conduct a flypast over the Beachburg Fairgrounds in Beachburg, on July 9, in support of the 170th Annual Beachburg Fair. The flypast is expected to take place at approximately 7 p.m. According to a press release from the Department of National Defence, the aircraft will operate at altitudes no less than 500 feet above the highest obstacle on its route.
