- On Monday, March 30, 2026, Dr. Roxana Mehran assumed the presidency of the American College of Cardiology during the organization's Annual Scientific Session in New Orleans, beginning a one-year term.
- Mehran, an endowed professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, brings a global perspective, having served as chair of the ACC's Interventional Section Leadership Council and contributed to numerous clinical guidelines.
