Routt County Sheriff’s Office hires part-time detention deputy, addresses understaffing during county comissioners’ hearing

Routt County commissioners approved a request from the Sheriff’s office to hire a part-time detention deputy Tuesday at the commissioners’ hearing. The funding for the new hire will come directly from vacancy funding, which is leftover money from vacant positions within the agency.
