Party spokesman Roman Roun became the new chairman of the Czechoslovak Communist Party on Sunday. He defeated the deputy chairman of the Communists, Milan Krajča, in the second round. The current chairman, Kateřina Konečná, did not run.
Roman Roun replaced MEP Kateřina Konečná as leader of the KSČM, who was no longer running for the position of party leader.
The current party spokesman Roman Roun has become the new chairman of the KSČM. According to information from ČTK, he defeated the deputy chairman of the Communist Party, Milan Krajča, in the second round of elections today at a closed congress in Prague's Top Hotel. Roun replaced MEP Kateřina Konečná as the head of the KSČM.
