Roseanne Barr Slams Michael Fishman Over ‘Roseanne’ Cancellation Comments: ‘Brainwashed Bigot’
Barr lashed out at Michael Fishman after he said the 2018 reboot was rightfully canceled, repeating her claim that the tweet was misunderstood.
- On Wednesday, Roseanne Barr attacked former co-star Michael Fishman on the "Can't Be Censored" podcast, calling him a "brainwashed bigot" in a fiery rant over his recent comments on the 2018 "Roseanne" cancellation.
- ABC canceled the 2018 reboot after Barr tweeted comparing Valerie Jarrett, a former White House adviser under President Barack Obama, to "Planet of the Apes," a post widely perceived as racist despite Barr's denials.
- Barr argued she was referencing the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, not race, while Fishman maintained the show was "rightfully canceled," noting that "dehumanizing people is never a joke."
- During the rant, Barr claimed she was the sole reason Fishman appeared on the revival and expressed satisfaction over his 2022 departure from "The Conners" after four seasons.
- Barr stated on the podcast she has completed a new series she describes as "a modern-day fable," though she did not reveal the title as the feud between the former co-stars continues.
