- Born in California in 1937 to Ronald R. Rondell, an actor and assistant director, Ronnie began acting and stunt work in the 1950s, first appearing on Soldiers of Fortune.
- Rondell cofounded Stunts Unlimited in California in 1970, worked on films like The Matrix Reloaded and Batman and Robin, and coordinated stunts in major TV series including Charlie's Angels.
- He performed a fire stunt for the cover of a 1975 album by the band Pink Floyd, wearing flame-retardant gel and soaked in gasoline; however, when the wind shifted, it ignited his actual mustache and caused him to sustain minor burns.
- The family has asked for privacy as they prepare to celebrate his life, while Stunts Unlimited honored him as a kind and skilled mentor who raised the standards for future stunt performers.
