Ron Klain declines to comment after extended questioning in Biden investigation
WASHINGTON, D.C., JUL 24 – Ron Klain is the third Biden aide to testify voluntarily in the probe examining if aides concealed Biden's cognitive decline and unauthorized use of an autopen for executive actions.
- On July 24, 2025, Ron Klain appeared for a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee, part of a probe into whether senior aides concealed President Biden’s mental decline.
- Amid scrutiny of autopen use, James Comer said investigators are examining whether executive actions and pardons were signed without Biden’s knowledge, while Klain joins a small group of former aides who have cooperated as others invoked the Fifth Amendment.
- Investigators began probing Biden’s alleged Ambien use around the debate, James Comer said, and their first question for Klain was `Were you ever told to lie about the president’s health?`, while Klain has offered `tidbits` of information.
