Hiking, cycling, swimming, skiing, jogging: the Swiss population does a lot of sport, preferably outdoors. More than half is very active, according to one study. Less than 20% of people are inactive, which puts Switzerland in a good international position.
Since 2000, the proportion of strength trainers has increased from 3 percent to 20 percent. The study "Sport Switzerland 2026" shows how the sports habits of the population have changed fundamentally.
