Rod Stewart Pauses Utah Concert to Breathe Through Oxygen Mask, Reports Say
On Friday, 81-year-old Sir Rod Stewart used an oxygen tank onstage at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre in West Valley City, Utah, after nearly fainting during his performance of Young Turks.
Rod Stewart's health issues have disrupted his tour, forcing him to cancel performances in May and earlier this month, including a show in Chula Vista, California, due to laryngitis and respiratory infection.
Following the Chula Vista cancellation, fans criticized Rod Stewart for traveling to Boston for the World Cup within 24 hours, with one person questioning why he was "too ill to perform but okay to fly."
After a three-person team administered oxygen, Rod Stewart told the crowd he had "nearly f**king fainted" but insisted "the show must go on," finishing the concert while sitting in a chair.
Despite recent health challenges, Sir Rod maintains a vigorous touring schedule, continuing performances even while appearing unwell and doubled over in pain during the Utah event.
