Disney Reveals Reopening Date, Soundtrack for Rock 'N' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
The ride will feature Electric Mayhem, celebrity cameos and a playlist of rock covers as Disney refreshes the longtime coaster.
- On Thursday, Walt Disney World announced the revamped, Muppetized version of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster will debut at Hollywood Studios on May 26, the day after Memorial Day.
- Formerly named Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Featuring Aerosmith, the attraction closed this March to transition to the new Muppet theme, with workers removing the Aerosmith name from the archway.
- According to the official Disney Parks Blog, "Hits performed by Electric Mayhem keeps the adrenaline pumping," and the lineup includes "Born to Be Wild" with Camilla the Chicken.
- Celebrity appearances include Wayne Brady, Neil Patrick Harris, John Stamos, and Awkwafina, while the playlist features "Walking on Sunshine" with Kelly Clarkson and "Love Rollercoaster" with Jennifer Hudson.
- The iconic Tinseltown scenery now features a Muppet twist, though the giant guitar fronting the indoor coaster building remains covered with scaffolding while crews finalize the significant decorative makeover.
