The event, dubbed the "Robot Olympics," brought together more than 2,000 robots from 666 teams, most of which were from China. In 51 disciplines, there were sports clashes, but also tasks in simulated factories, restaurants, offices and emergency situations.
The Chinese robot Tian Jiao again beat the 100-metre record, with the time of 8.64 seconds, on the last day of the World Games of Humanoid Robots, held in Beijing. The machine surpassed its own record of 8.86 seconds, established only one day before, in the semi-finals. This mark is 0.94 seconds faster than the world record of Usain Bolt, 9.58 seconds, established in Berlin in 2009.
