Robin Michele “Mickey” Murray

Robin Michele (“Mickey”) Murray, 66, formerly of Aurora, went to heaven on June 21, 2026. Mickey was currently a resident at the Waters of Dillsboro, where she had lived for two years. Before moving to Dillsboro she resided in Batesville at RomWeber in assisted living for four years. Mickey attended Clovernook Elementary School and North College Hill High School, where she graduated in 1979. She later decided to pursue a career as an elementary school teacher, so she attended Indiana University, graduating in 1992 with the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Education. Mickey taught at St. Mary’s school in Aurora for thirteen years. During the summers she managed the Aurora city pool. She also taught in Kentucky for two years before deciding to change careers. She was hired to begin a G.E.D. program at the Dearborn County Jail. This led to the opportunity to become a jail officer. Mickey also served her community as an EMT for a time.

She loved her house on Hanover Avenue, and thoroughly enjoyed living in that neighborhood. She is survived by her siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Mickey requested any memorial donations be made to the Aurora Life Squad. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 5-7 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church. Mickey’s body will be laid to rest in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Her spirit and soul and reside now in heaven.
