WASHINGTON COUNTY, ARKANSAS, JUL 20 – Robb Ryerse, a former Republican primary challenger, runs as a Democrat opposing recent tax and spending laws while facing a financial gap against incumbent Steve Womack, campaign reports show.

WASHINGTON -- Seven years ago, Springdale pastor Robb Ryerse challenged U.S. Rep. Steve Womack in the Republican primary for Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District. Womack won the May 2018 contest en route to a fifth term in the House of Representatives. Ryerse hopes to face off against Womack again, but this time as a Democrat.
