At around 9:50 a.m. on the 10th, a call was made to 110 reporting that "the sidewalk has collapsed. A cavity is visible inside" on National Route 202 in Imaizumi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The scene was near the downtown Tenjin area, and a Kyodo News reporter confirmed that there was a hole about 2 meters in diameter straddling the roadway and the sidewalk.
